eSys aims for number one

Sri Lanka, July 19 -- eSys Technologies aims to take the coveted number one position in the content security software market in partnership with Trend Micro Incorporated in the short time frame of eight to ten months.

eSys Technologies CEO Shafraz Hamzadeen is confident in both the new partnership forged and the innovative product, the Trend Micro Titanium 2011 is and he is positive that he will be able to achieve this and more.

He is especially enthusiastic about the introduction of cloud technology to Sri Lanka through the Trend Micro Titanium 2011 security software.

Trend Micro, India and the SAARC region, National Sales Manager Bivash Chatterjee said that cloud technology intercepts incoming internet traffic via an external location and scans it before redirecting it to the user.

Chatterjee highlights the fact that a study conducted by a reputed research institution conveys that the security issues foremost on the average internet user's mind is safety and system performance.

He stresses the fact that the security of over 20,000 computers are compromised every month in Sri Lanka. He believes that Trend Micro Incorporated is equipped for such events as the threat intelligence experts employed by the company average three hours to create an antivirus for new threats as they appear.

With the increased use of portable devices such as laptops and smartphones to access the web at one's convenience, he deems internet security of utmost importance, especially to protect one's financial and personal reputation which can be in peril due to online fraud and theft.

In a time where antiviruses which can be downloaded for 'free', Chatterjee emphasizes that one cannot get something for nothing and that to ensure complete security, one must invest in the best.
